Garment printers are precision instruments containing components such as printheads, guide rails, ink delivery systems, and electronic control units. Consequently, their transport requires strict adherence to protocols regarding vibration protection, moisture prevention, and secure fastening; failure to do so can easily result in printhead damage or misalignment of mechanical structures.
Vibration Protection and Securing Requirements. Before transport, the printhead carriage, platform, and critical moving parts must be locked in place to prevent displacement or collisions caused by shaking. Multi-layer cushioning-using foam, wooden crates, or custom packaging-is essential to shield precision structures from damage due to vehicle jolts or handling impacts, with special emphasis on protecting the printhead area.
Tilt Prevention and Handling Protocols. Garment printers must remain upright and stable during transport; prolonged tilting or inversion must be avoided to prevent ink from backflowing within the delivery system or seeping into sensitive areas. Handling typically requires a team effort or the use of equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks; applying force to a single point or rough handling is strictly prohibited, as this can cause frame deformation or guide rail misalignment.
Moisture Prevention and Environmental Control. Exposure to rain and high humidity must be avoided during transport. Waterproof packaging and desiccants are mandatory-especially for long-distance shipping-to protect circuit boards from moisture and metal parts from corrosion. For extended transit periods, the ink delivery system should be pre-treated to prevent ink from settling or drying out within the tubing.
