The main components of a garment printer can be categorized into several core systems that collectively determine the device's print quality, stability, and service life.

The inkjet system is the core of the machine, comprising the printhead, ink delivery system, and ink supply unit. The printhead is responsible for precisely jetting ink onto the fabric or transfer medium and is the critical component determining image precision. The ink delivery system ensures stable ink flow; the white ink circulation system is particularly vital in garment printing, as it prevents issues like nozzle clogging or ink sedimentation. The ink supply unit (such as cartridges or bulk ink tanks) ensures a continuous ink supply, making the system suitable for long-term, high-volume production.

The print control and motion system includes the mainboard controller, guide rails, motors, and belt assemblies. The control system receives image data and converts it into inkjet commands, while the motion system ensures the precise movement of the printhead or platform during printing. Insufficient guide rail precision or motor instability can lead to issues such as image misalignment or ghosting, directly affecting the quality of the finished product.

Pre-treatment and post-treatment components. DTG (Direct-to-Garment) systems are typically equipped with pre-treatment spraying units to enhance ink adhesion on dark-colored garments. DTF (Direct-to-Film) systems include dryers, powder applicators, and heat presses to complete the transfer process. Although these peripheral devices are not part of the core printing mechanism, they directly determine the durability and visual quality of the final product.

Auxiliary systems include RIP software, color management systems, automatic cleaning units, and white ink stirring and circulation systems. While these components do not directly participate in image formation, they are crucial for stable production and reduced maintenance costs, serving as a vital guarantee for the long-term, stable operation of the garment printer.
