White ink coverage is also a critical metric-particularly for dark garments-as the uniformity of the white ink layer directly impacts the overall visual effect.
Print speed and production efficiency. Speed is influenced by factors such as the number of printheads, print modes, and the motion system. Industrial-grade equipment enables continuous batch production while maintaining quality, whereas entry-level models are better suited for small-batch customization. In practical application, speed affects not only output capacity but also the ability to handle peak order volumes.
Stability and continuous operation. Garment printers are subject to frequent use; issues such as frequent printhead clogging, unstable white ink circulation, or declining motion system precision can directly hinder productivity. High-performance machines typically feature white ink circulation systems, automatic cleaning functions, and robust guide rail structures to ensure consistent operation over long periods without interruptions or color shifts.
Material compatibility and color reproduction. Different fabrics (such as cotton, polyester, and blends) have varying requirements for ink adhesion; high-performance equipment can accommodate a wide range of fabrics through adjustments to ink and processing techniques. Additionally, the optimization capabilities of the Color Management System (CMS) and RIP software determine the fidelity and consistency of the final design-factors that are particularly crucial for commercial orders.
