Additionally, dust and ink stains on the work surface and guide rails should be promptly removed to ensure a clean and stable operating environment.
Weekly maintenance usually centers on system checks and light maintenance, such as inspecting ink lines for air bubbles or leaks, cleaning the waste ink collection system, and verifying the proper functioning of key components like wiper blades and pump stations. This stage aims to prevent minor issues from escalating into major malfunctions and to ensure the stability of the inkjet system.
Monthly maintenance involves more in-depth servicing, including deep cleaning of printheads, lubricating guide rails, inspecting the drive system, and verifying electrical connections. For equipment with high usage rates, color calibration and print precision checks are also necessary, with printhead alignment and color management settings readjusted as required.
Quarterly or annual maintenance is typically performed by professional technicians. It focuses on assessing the wear and tear of core components-such as printhead lifespan, UV lamps (for UV digital printers), and motor wear-while also involving comprehensive performance calibration and the replacement of consumable parts. Adhering to a proper maintenance schedule effectively extends the equipment's lifespan and ensures consistent, high-quality printing over the long term.
